It's been awhile and yes I am still alive and well
Hope I find you all in the same condition.
Now that all of the holidays are over and we look forward to tax time; let's think about something else instead!
Lessons...let's do something fun!
manx is doing a lesson for you on grounding/shielding and centering which is general witchcraft which means exactly what it says. It is the art of protection which is important for all of you to know and practice on an everyday basis until it becomes second instinct.
She is very good at the art of warfare....I have been trying to find the chinks in her armor for years, but I can't get in. Otherwise I would be the only priestess on earth. (just joking Manxy)
Also I wanted to tell you that I will be here full time now...developing the other websites for those of you who are artists and musicians.
I became ordained as a High Priestess of the Druid Religion...(they call it a religion) it is merely a "Way of Life" really; but on paper they call it a religion. I can do Pagan and Christian marriages so for those of you interested in tying the proverbial knot; I am at your service.
I am also  opening a Grove on line which I have decided will not be non-profit because it is too poor when it comes to any type of assistance from the government and figure that everyone can afford a membership fee. It will be very nominal; as I am not sponsering any events at this time; but if it ever gets to that point; I can always just sell tickets.
  In return; my services as a Priestess are part of my community service to my fellow Pagans; and I won't charge as other churches do. (I heard that the last friend paid 500.00 to the church and 400.00 to the minister). To me this is not why you become ordained; and I cannot make money like that. Marriage is a Happy event and Happiness should not have a pricetag. Death is expensive and sad for those of us left here and not a time to take advantage of weakness. Always remember that even though you may be stronger and in better shape mentally and spiritually than others; kindness is the key and it is wrong to stick a sword in someone who is already bleeding unless you intend to kill them.
  Anyway...since I am ex-airline and cannot use my tickets for business; it is better this way. I can go to any state to perform rituals and if someone needs me; it will not be super expensive to get me there.
  I am leading up to a point.....Since I am now a minister of sorts;(putting that mildly);
I have been finding all sorts of handfasting rituals that are very nice.
  I was thinking that some of you may be more advanced than others; or possibly up for a challenge.
  I thought that it would be excellent if we could compulate a series of different styles of handfasting with the variety of pagan religion that we have in our school.
  Each Pagan sect has mildly different importances which add a special nuiance to the picture and I thought that some of you might want to know how to perform a ritual in that someday you may be asked to honor someone's marriage table by officiating at either a handfasting or wedding.
  If any of you would like to do this as a project; there is much more to it than the average layman could ever consider. From your protective circles down to invoking your particular gods/goddesses. Also, it would do all of us well to write a handfasting from the heart as we often tend to forget those very tender feelings that we lock inside of ourselves; and as all other feelings; they need to be explored or we will not be truly sentient beings.
  If you do not want to go through writing an entire ritual and would just like to write the vows of love; that would be nice and we can have each author featured in a book which I can put together. It would be a nice keepsake; and someday we might publish and who knows...we may make some money for it. Some of you may find a niche in life doing this on the side for pleasure and profit.
  To copywright is simple without a lawyer. Before you send it out; put it in an envelope addressed to yourself and post it. When it returns simply put it with your important papers unopened...THE KEY IS UNOPENED. If there are every any legal complications you simply take the envelope to the court; and present it to the judge. When he opens it he will find your poetry there and see the date of post and determine that indeed it was written by you. It would not hurt you to put a little not on it that you wrote it and the date for extra care.
  I learned this from being a poor artist for many years and not being able to afford going to an attorney every time I did a picture. Many people do it this way. It is legal; holds up in court; and saves you the hassle of paying a few hundred dollars for something that may never be published.
